The fear factor

 Sun 4.3.22

My grocery bill went up twenty bucks this week, whoa!  Gee, I miss boredom, laying around, trying to figure out what to do “to keep myself occupied.”  Why do I need to keep myself occupied?  I’ve been seriously occupied for the past 3 years, working ten to twelve hour days .  It’s coming to an end soon, then I can go back to the land of lay-about doing nothing useful.  It has been referred to as the state of well-being, even happiness.

My grocery bill can be subsumed under the heading of The Fear Factor where one experiences mild discomfort, anxiety, frenzy, hysteria, dread, panic; yes, fear, which metastasizes and grows like cancer and it spreads from person to person.  Fear is an energy field; if enough people experience it, it then permeates the environment.  You’ve noticed how it is the government’s go-to weapon to manipulate you, and it works one hundred percent every time.  Remember when we were introduced to the Covid virus.  It was like AIDs, if you were near someone with it you were made uncomfortable, didn’t want them to get too close to you, or heaven forbid, shake hands.  To this day I still see people at the market wiping down the whole shopping cart to get rid of Covid germs.

The new fear, which by comparison, makes Covid seems like a walk in the park, is nuclear war.  We are made to balance the strong possibility of a war between the US and Russia, two countries with enough nuclear weaponry to erase humanity, against the slim possibility that common sense will prevail.  There are many, many people in the US who through the “media” have been saturated with the Ukraine war, the horrible fate of the Ukies, the evil Vladimir Putin who are clamoring for a nuclear war to settle the situation.  They are not interested in researching the matter, they just want to see an end to what is depicted every day in the media.  People have a right to choose ignorance, others are simply incapable of comprehending the complexity on the problem and find comfort in ready made slogans.

Ultimately, one has to find peace within oneself, to take back one’s rights.  The only way you can be defeated is by allowing it to take precedence in your life.  Whatever happens is your choice.  There is only your self, and your destiny moving forward.  You are choosing it all; wellbeing or stress are tools at your command.
