the best argument

I have spent the day, from first wake up to maybe around 9:30, 10 this evening working on my presentation for my court hearing on Tuesday about the gazebo. The gazebo, you ask?

The man whose picture you see above with a cocked eyebrow and smirk is Marty Tibbetts. Marty is dead now, died in a plane crash.

When I was in my third year in college working with my lab rat in the psychology department society collapsed for me. It was all fake, bullshit.

I’ve been viewing Roman Polanski’s early short films from 1957 to 1062, made when he was a film student . .

10 commandments pro se

I should be keeping you abreast of how my suits are progressing, but alas there’s not much progress. I won and I lost the federal case.

Skirmishes

The small battles in life, the skirmishes are what hones one’s fitness for the big ones. Life on planet earth for its many species is about competition and battle for resources. We like to pretend it’s all Kumbaya but . . .

Last words

I’ve said it all and I don’t see myself adding anything beyond this last reply to Landlord’s eviction complaint. In it, I am replying to Landlord’s response . . .

I’ve been on a 5-day work binge writing my brief for federal court. There was somewhat of an outline when I started on the piece this past Wednesday.

Eviction: the fed

I’ve had my eviction hearing and everyone who wishes me ill has testified, the jealous, those who seek to profit, to advance themselves, the insecure, the envious, the guilty – it’s not a pretty sight.

mold spores

The system is under attack, my intestines are being occupied by a foreign body which is responsible for the diarrhea. War has been declared and an army of mold spores is on the march; the invasion is in progress.

samurai

I went to court last Thursday for my eviction case. Maine has a system established which purpose strikes me as designed to mill the chaff, i.e. get rid of the poor folks. Slam, bam, thank you ma’am, you’re out of here.

Macho, macho Men

When I was a little girl living on Lincoln Street in Lewiston Maine, I came upon a scene in my neighborhood that was imprinted on my mind. In an empty lot next to Marcotte Furniture World,

Yes, we believed, in decency, honor, in progress, elegance. We were Americans about to elect a prince among men.

It all started

I should fill you in on my case in federal court. It starts with my filing a suit against my landlord because I was given written permission to place a gazebo in the backyard, and two weeks later was ordered to take it down.

A considered moment

At the market the other day, approaching the entryway an old guy carrying two bags of groceries falls to the ground, about 6 feet from me. There’s a clerk behind him sweeping the ground; he looks but he doesn’t rush over . .

When my first novel, COMICS, was staged at the University of Maine in Orono it felt like I was living in a bubble; wasn’t quite real.

presentation is all

The role of image in politics is all. A lot of books have been written about Kennedy and Nixon, the beautiful and the ugly. Surprisingly, Nixon apparently was much more savvy about projecting an image than JFK
