I had a dream

Sun 11.25.23,

I had a dream last night in which I am in a messy house.  There is a young man in it who wants a home.  I will take up his cause.  The authority to whom I have to appeal is . . . Joe Biden.  In his characteristic insensitive way he affirms he will not help the young man.

Karl Jung did a lot of research on dreams; he found that throughout humanity, from the polished Englishman to the Maori tribesman, the same symbols appear in some of their dreams.  The dream will and does speak to us on matters of universal importance as well as guide.on one’s path.

The young man in my dream seeking a home stands as symbol for the Palestinians.  We are witnessing a genocide.  I can’t bear to see the clips of desperate, frightened people with the background of  Gaza in rubble. This clip rends my heart:  https://twitter.com/SprinterX99880/status/1721085311759896890

No child or adult should ever experience this attack on the body, mind and soul for the sake of Israel or the United States.  Who will hold and comfort the child as he sits on the ground shaking uncontrollably, his eyes darting from one unexpected movement or loud noise?

Everything that's been said to exculpate the Israelis can never excuse what they've done or are doing.  The protesters are anti-semites!  It doesn't matter whether they are or are not.  Their protests are legitimate.  Shame on Harvard et al for not standing by their students, rather bowing to Jews who are withdrawing their funding, using their money to support a genocide.  No!  This is not OK and we cannot permit this.  This sin can never be forgiven, nor should it be.  Think of the consequences if this is allowed to stand, to spread to other countries, to other races, nationalities, ethnic groups.

Don't the Israelis have the right to defend themselves?  From Hamas?  They could easily have done that.  There is absolutely no justification for what is happening in Gaza.  None.  Shame on the Jews for allowing this to happen.  They who have experienced genocide, have succumbed to another Hitler.

The only politician willing to speak up in this country is a Palestinian, and she is censured by her colleagues for it.  No one else.  None of the candidates, no one in the house or senate.  Truth be said, no politician will speak up because they will be driven out of politics if they do.  No candidate could ever be elected under such a platform.  It is not the general population that demands this . . . Shameful, shameful times in our country.  We have to openly acknowledge that we have a Jewish problem.  When our leaders care more for Israel than their own home, that can't be allowed to continue.  This should never have happened.  And it will defeat the country.

Elected officials should not be allowed to have dual citizenships.

The people have taken to the streets.  They are horrified by what they see unfolding.

Manhattan Seeress Cover copy.jpg

Eight o'clock Sunday morning, the police arrive at her apartment in Greenwich Village, "How long have you been living here?" The roommate Elizabeth, after having accepted her half of the deposit money and rent for their new apartment, has called the police.

New York City doesn’t open its arms to welcome her, but she’s arrived and the adventure of her life is about to unfold.  She’s come from Maine with an invitation from Sarah Lawrence College to participate in the graduate writing program.

How one becomes a seeress is what this memoir explores. Stories have been specifically selected to illustrate, from the sublime to the practical, a spiritual journey introduced in each chapter by an atout, the Tarot’s major archetypes.   From the Fool, to The World, our human journey with its risk and folly unfolds. There is also an artist here alive to her new world seeking inspiration among artists on the Lower East side, learning the ways and foods of her Chinese neighbors, falling in love.
